Apple, Newtown Pippin

WIDTH: 12ft - 16ft

The Newtown Pippin apple is an American classic.  Said to be grown by both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, people still cultivate it today.  With yellowish green flesh and piney tartness, this apple is most commonly used in the making of cider.  This variety is self-pollinating, but is excellent to use to pollinate other apple trees.
